“Where does the body end and “nonhuman nature” begin?” (Linda Nash, Inescapable Ecologies, 2007:8)

Sometimes there is only enough energy to breathe – and slowly, gently consider the reciprocal nature of the breath.

This video considers ideas of human embodiment as being extended, entangled and interdependent within the more-than-human world via the processes of bodily exchange that take place between nettle, technology and human.

We cannot be separated. As we breathe together, we become aware of living interconnected lives on this fragile planet.

Drawn animation allows for a speculative approach allowing the invisible interconnections and the rhythms of our living bodies to become visible.
