Sue Parr is a British visual artist who explores storied matter within the more-than-human world. Drawing from her personal experiences of long-term chronic illness, she is particularly interested in making contact with the overlooked and unseen.
Her work has developed from drawing, painting and printmaking into a multi-disciplinary and more ecologically-minded practice.
“How Like A Leaf”, her most recent body of work, honours and celebrates the modes of exchange between humans and plants, specifically stinging nettles, via ritual encounters and relic, in an attempt to promote mutual wellbeing and healing.
